"Let the little children come to me..." We take these words of Jesus seriously at C.A.B.C. That is why we have age-graded classes for all children and youth, beginning in our nursery. Our classes are as follows:

CHILDREN'S DEPARTMENT

Nursery (for infants and toddlers)
Preschool and Kindergarten
First - Third Grade Class
Fourth - Fifth Grade Class

YOUTH DEPARTMENT

Middle School (Grades 6-8)
Senior High (Grades 9-12)

          * All of our children's classes study the same Bible story. This way, families are able to talk about the lessons of the day, whatever age their children might be. Out youth follow an intensive Bible study plan that will allow them to have covered most of the Bible during their time in out youth ministry. *

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

Women's Classes

Friendship Class This class includes single and married women of all ages and uses a variety of materials and approaches in Bible study. Recently, the class has been studying "Purpose Driven Life." They also use Beth Moore videos and other small group resources. Members say this is a "place where burdens and celebrations are shared in a loving, caring group."
Grace Ellis Class This senior adult ladies' class provides an in-depth study of individual books of the Bible using Lifeway's Explore the Bible Curriculum as a guide. Most of the members of this class are grandmother's, and many are widows. They care for each other and welcome newcomers to their class.
Sunshine Class The Sunshine Class is a loving, caring group of mission minded ladies, whose goal is to study God's word and meet the spiritual needs of each class member. Emphasis is given to open discussion of the Scriptures, guided by the Explore the Bible Curriculum.

Men's Classes

Men's Class This class encompasses a wide variety of ages and backgrounds. The class uses Lifeway's quarterly literature to assist them in finding God's purpose for their lives and to identify ways in which they can serve Christ, individually and as a class. Their monthly mission projects include providing food for the Baptist community centers.

Co - Educational Classes

College and Career Class This class is made up of 18 - 25 year old men and women, some of whom are in college, and others who are starting their careers. Their discussion filled lessons focus on topics that are relevant to their lives from a Biblical perspective. Previous lessons series include "The Gospel According to the Simpsons" and "What It Means to Be Baptist."
Faith Keepers Class This class is made up of young adults (25 and older), married and single, with and without small children. The class focuses on the application of Scripture to life. Their purpose is "to establish a cleared understanding of the ways in which God works in our lives." Their Bible study is based around a variety of small group studies. The class has an ongoing missions fund and enjoys socializing outside of class with camping trips and other activities.
Fellowship Outreach Class Many of the members of this class have pre-teen and teenage children. Along with their discussion based book studies (which have included lessons on parenting teenagers and Max Lucado's 3:16), they have adopted a senior adult member of our church and also minister to the families of inmates.
New Beginnings Class Many members of this class have adult children. The class uses Smyth & Helwys Formations literature. They have also studied special interest topics, including "God and Astronomy" and the tabernacle. It is an inclusive group, open to sharing and exploring. The New Beginnings Class looks to deepen their understanding of God and God's Word through spirited discussion and research.
Pilgrim's Circle Class This is a mixed age class (50 - 80) of men and women. Their lessons are discussion oriented. Recently the class lessons have been doing book by book studies of the Bible. They have also used Cokesbury's Troublesome Bible Passages series. Not only do they study Scripture together, they act on the Bible's commandments by doing monthly community mission projects, including Meals on Wheels.
